Ashley Cooper

Ashley Cooper

Community Engagement Organizer (CEO)

We are an energetic team of organizers, working together to create opportunities for the power of young voices to be heard, experienced and engaged. We hope the city of Asheville will be catalyzed by the ideas of these teens and members of the community will become more connected to one another, ready to play and work together in innovative ways. My role is to help us stay focused on our big picture intentions while attending to the many details of this event and initiative. We are committed to all aspects of TEDxNextGenerationAsheville being driven by passion and inspiration. Ashley's personal website.

performance of their lifetime! This includes assisting them in developing
their ideas; linking them to mentors and coaches; and helping with any

Community Outreach

Adolescence is a time of vibrant energy and possibility. As the Outreach Coordinator on the TEDxNGA design team, my role has been to bring those puzzle pieces of possibility into contact with each other. I love "match making" and social net-working. And given the amazing wealth of talent and good will that exist in the Asheville area, my job of matching the resources of time and talent to the vision of TEDxNGA is one of serendipity!

Original Youth Liason

I'm a 14 year old homeschool student, and was first youth on the design team mainly because I could make the 8:30 meetings. Now I attend meetings, give my two cents when I need to, and maintain the website. In what little spare time I have I enjoy playing piano and accordion, hurdling, and hanging out with my two pet goats.
